Tyler Perry donates $ 100,000 to Kenneth Walker’s Authorized Protection Fund

Breonna Taylor’s loved ones are still mourning after their shocking death earlier this year. Her friend Kenneth Walker, who was with her when she was fatally shot by the police, not only mourns her but is also looking into a lawsuit from one of the officers involved in the shooting.

According to CBS News, Tyler Perry recently made a huge contribution to a fundraiser designed to help Kenneth with his legal expenses. Tyler made four separate donations totaling $ 100,000 to a GoFundMe page set up in November to aid his legal defense.

The fundraiser now has more than $ 105,000 in donations, which has exceeded the original goal of $ 100,000.

Jonathan Mattingly, one of the officers involved in the shooting, was wounded during the March shooting. As early as October, he filed a civil lawsuit against Kenneth, claiming he had caused him “severe trauma, mental agony and emotional stress”.

CBS News received a portion of the Kentucky State Police Ballistics Report which found it “inconclusive” who fired the shot that hit Mattingly during the shooting.

As we previously reported, Kenneth spoke to Gayle King about the shooting in October and said the police did not call in before going to Breonna’s apartment.

During the interview, Kenneth said, “That’s why I packed the gun. I had no idea. I mean, if it was the police at the door and they just said, “We are the police,” I or Breonna had absolutely no reason not to open the door to see what they wanted. “

By now, you all know that the three officials responsible for Breonna Taylor’s death had no consequences for her death.
