Park Jimin, Sidhu Moose Wala, other Asian stars light up Time Square with netizens’ report

About 20 Asian celebrities were seen on some screens in Time Square, New York, over the weekend, presented by The Netizens Report, a series based in Chicago. These celebrities were rated and announced by the magazine as the most significant and influential Asian celebrities of 2022 based on a survey conducted by the publication to choose 20 of over 70 popular celebrities in Asia.

The faces of these celebrities were displayed on screens and in trucks that paraded through the city for hours. The campaign is said to continue in the United States until January 3, 2023.

The man of the hour was revealed to be charming K-pop star Park Jimin, who holds the no. 1 on the list, thereby winning the title of “Asian Celebrity of the Year”. Other notable celebrities who bagged the honors include; China’s Xiao Zhan, Thailand’s Lalisa Manoban, Kim Taehyung, another BTS member, Thai actor Apo Nattawin, Filipino singer Justin Dedios, and surely one of the most significant people on the list, the late Indian rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, who qualified. 7th on the list, his legacy will surely always be respected by fans now and many more in the years to come.
