Karl Anthony Cities reveals that he examined optimistic for COVID-19
Roommates, although many were hoping the New Year would bring fewer cases of COVID-19, sadly, that hasn’t happened yet – and NBA star Karl Anthony Towns is the last infected. In a long, heartfelt post on social media, Karl Anthony Towns revealed that he just tested positive for COVID-19.
Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl Anthony Towns has been particularly hard hit by COVID-19 and is now the direct recipient. He lost his mother, Jacqueline Cruz-Towns (who died at the age of 59) to complications from the virus on April 13 last year, having been diagnosed only a month earlier. Karl has also previously stated that six of his other family members have also died as a result of the virus.
He wrote the following message on Instagram:
“Before today’s game, I got another terrible phone call that tested positive for COVID. I will immediately isolate and follow any protocol. I pray every day that this virus nightmare will subside and I ask everyone to continue to take it seriously by taking all necessary precautions. It breaks my heart that my family and especially my father and sister continue to suffer from the fear that comes with this diagnosis as we know all too well what the end result could be. I promise you my niece and nephew Jolani and Max that I won’t end up in a box next to Grandma and hit that. “
The Minnesota Timberwolves previously announced that today’s game has been postponed due to contact tracing within the Timberwolves organization. There is also no word on whether Karl Anthony Towns’ girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, was tested after his diagnosis.
We want to send our thoughts and prayers to him.
