Boeing CEO is scheduled to testify before U.S. Senate panel (NYSE:BA)

Boeing’s (NYSE:BA) outgoing chief executive, Dave Calhoun, on June 18 will testify before a U.S. Senate panel amid lingering questions about the plane maker’s product safety.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal, chair of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, said Calhoun will provide testimony about several issues.
The Federal Aviation Administration in February forbade Boeing (BA) from increasing production of its best-selling 737 Max. The limitation came after a new 737 Max 9 operated by Alaska Airlines (ALK) lost a door panel on January 5, forcing pilots to make an emergency landing.
Calhoun plans to step down as chief executive of Boeing (BA) by the end of the year.
