“Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris information an injunction towards his sister

It looks like Kenya Barris is trying to get his own sister to keep her distance from him and his children.

According to the TMZ, Kenya has filed documents calling on a judge to intervene to force his sister Colette Barris to keep her distance on allegedly alleging that she is “taking his name” and threatening his children.

In the documents, Kenya listed alleged incidents in which he claims Colette used his name and family connection to search for opportunities in Hollywood. After several failed attempts to get their projects up and running, Kenya reportedly fears that Colette will allay her anger at his children against him. Therefore he asks a judge to enforce a protective shield ordered by the court. He went on to mention that his relationship with his sister was rocky because she reportedly continued to use his name for her projects.

It is also alleged that Colette requested that Kenya take care of her and her extended family financially.

Kenya also claims Colette sent him a legal claim letter saying he needed to fund her current project, which is said to be worth $ 4 million. He also claimed that she said if he didn’t do what she asked, she would go public.

As many of you know, outside of the success of Black-ish, the show has two successful spin-off shows, with a third in the works. Aside from that, Kenya also starred on its own Netflix show “#blackAF”, which was extended for a second season, along with other projects in the works for Netflix.
