President Joe Biden addressed the collapse of a Florida condo in a speech Thursday afternoon.

Biden is supposed to comfort families who are desperately waiting for news of their loved ones after the sudden collapse of the twelve-story Champlain Towers South eight days ago.

He is expected to thank hundreds of first responders who have carried out careful search and rescue operations on the ground, according to White House Assistant Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Biden is also ready to deal with federal resources made available to state and local officials, such as the 60 staff and an additional 400 staff on five search and rescue teams deployed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency this morning.
